In 2002, Stuart and his wife Barbara, started Golden State Greyhound Adoption with the idea of creating a close-knit community where support for new greyhound adopters would be only a phone call or email away so that help for their new retired racers transition to life as “couch potatoes” would be a smooth and easy one. Stuart started on-line forums and opportunities to meet other adopters and volunteer together, and opportunities to take part in organized play dates and have fun at the annual picnic.

GSGA has recently placed its 1,000th greyhound.
